Planetary Pest Squad

Planetary Pest Squad is a 3D multiplayer shooter in which players assume the role of Interplanetary Exterminators, eradicating pests from planets across the galaxy. Players compete to eliminate the most pests and claim the title of Employee of the Month.

The game was developed over the course of a year with a team of six, including a sound designer, artist, and an additional animator. Additional work was done over the course of a final semester. The project was my first foray into game development in both 3D and Unity.

Orange Kiwi (6 person team)

  • Implemented and refined technical features and systems, facilitating movement and shooting around small, asteroid-like planets.

  • Worked to gain proficiency in 3D rotations, vector math, and other important aspects of 3D game development.

  • Helped playtest and iterate on these and other systems, ensuring players were engaged with the core of the game.

  • Worked alongside artists and a sound designer to help decide what works in terms of the game's aesthetic.

  • Implemented art assets and animations, adjusted lighting, and utilized particles to provide feedback and help convey theme.

  • Gained experience in production, working to unite our passionate team by disseminating information, scheduling meetings, and helping keep myself and other team members on track.

  • Strived to set clear goals and understand what was keeping assets or features from being implemented, working to resolve any issues that arose.
